Playing Piano For The First Time In 2 Years
I composed this piano piece years ago. It was composed through midi, so I never thought I'd be capable of playing it. It also didn't help that for about 2 years I stopped playing the piano. My intention for this project and collaboration was to give the music to Dearion (The dancer) to choreograph to. It then morphed into a project based in improv. I was then asked the question.... would I be willing to play this live? Ultimately, my answer was yes. I really had to push myself out of my comfort zone but I am very proud with how this project turned out.
