This was a very fun project. I was able to create my own storyline and script. The narrative I created is very absurd.
Looking back on this project, it's interesting to see the way I went about programming in QLAB. If I were to create this project now I would program using Timelines rather than groups.
Listen to this experience as if you're attending the theme park. Each transition is you going to each different land. Each land is based ondifferent classic american horror films genres and tropes
Taking you back to 1930s Great Britain, as an assignment I explored how I would design The 39 Steps by Patrick Barlow. This scene Depicts the score of the heartbreaking moments where Anabella died in the arms of Richard... but the mission must continue. Once the mysterious phone rings Richard hops into action.
In this clip you hear a transition from scene to scene. Where the body of a woman is discovered in her home. This triggers the action motif, composed by me, transitioning us into the next scene.
As an assignment, I discovered how I would create a fun intermission sequence if I designed The 39 Steps. The jazzy bass sequence, composed by me, plays as the radio host tells the audience to take a break and use the loo.
As a asssignment I was given random keywords. Through this, I created a soundscape of a fairy laying bricks of her new home on the beach but is then swept away by a hurricane. Following the whimsical sound of children and jingles. The Fairy finds herself safe in a cave.
Original Composition and Design by me. For an assignment I used the choreography of the clown as a blank canvas. I first explored environmental clues like the umbrella. Moving forward, I came up with the comedic idea of the clown having control over the thunder and dances around as he revels in his new found power.
